"War" is now the third film produced by Yash Raj Films to cross Rs 300 crore in India after superstar Salman Khan's "Tiger Zinda Hai" (2017) and "Sultan" (2016).
"It has been simply phenomenal to receive this kind of love and adulation from audiences. 'War' was made with the hope to give India its biggest original action spectacle and the entire team is ecstatic to get the desired result at the box office," Siddharth Anand said.
Taran Adarsh tweets the list of 8 hindi films in the 300 Cr club as 'War' joins them. He wrote- "₹ 300 cr Club and its members... 2014: #PK 2015: #BajrangiBhaijaan 2016: #Sultan 2016: #Dangal 2017: #TigerZindaHai 2018: #Padmaavat 2018: #Sanju 2019: #War NOTE: #Baahubali2 [#Hindi; 2017] is the ONLY film in ₹ 500 cr Club. "When you have two of the biggest action superstars in your film, you would want your film to over deliver on audience expectations and make a big statement. We are overwhelmed that 'War' has become a must-watch film for the entire country. It is a moment to treasure and celebrate for all of us," he added.
