New Delhi: Several South stars including Mahesh Babu, Allu Arjun, Ram Charan and Vijay Deverakonda took to social media to offered condolences to the families affected by the gas leak at LG Polymers in Visakhapatnam’s RR Venkatapuram village on Thursday (May 7) morning. Eleven causalities have been reported so far, while 800 people have been rushed for treatment to hospitals after the unfortunate incident.


Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu offered condolence to the families members of the deceased. The 'Bharat Ane Nenu actor tweeted: "Heartwrenching to hear the news of #VizagGasLeak, more so during these challenging times... Heartfelt condolences and strength to the bereaved families in this hour of need. Wishing a speedy recovery to those affected. My prayers for you... Stay safe VIZAG."


'Arya 2' star Allu Arjun said that he was deeply saddened by the horrific incident. He prayed for the safety of the victims. "It's really heart breaking to see Vizag, which one of the most special places in my life, in such a state. I am deeply saddened by this horrific accident. Condolences to families who have lost their lives and hoping for a speedy recovery for the rest," Arjun wrote on the micro-blogging site.


Nani, fondly known for his role in Jersey, prayed for the speedy recovery of the victims. He tweeted, "This is heartbreaking .. it's just getting more and more worse .. helpless and all we are left to do is pray."


'Baahubali' director SS Rajamouli, tweeted, "Praying for the recovery of those admitted to the hospital. Heartfelt condolences to those who lost their near and dear ones."


"Watching the news of what’s happening in Vizag is heartbreaking. I pray for your strength to fight and overcome these hard times #strongvizag," Samantha Akkineni wrote on Instagram.



" Heart breaking to see the visuals of #VizagGasLeak. My heartfelt condolences to the families of the people who are no more. I hope all necessary measures are taken to make sure the affected people recover at the earliest. My thoughts and prayers with the people of Vizag," Ram Charan, who will be next seen in 'RRR', tweeted.


'Arjun Reddy' fame Vijay Deverakonda wrote, "Vizag, we all are thinking and praying for you."


"VizagGasLeak news is just heart wrenching Persevering face.. My prayers with the families of the bereaved.. #PrayForVizag 2020 - I'm just speechless," Pranita Subhash offered condolence on Twitter.


Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy has announced that Rs 1 crore will be given to the families of the deceased in the Vizag gas leakage incident while Rs 10 lakhs will be given to the victims, who are on ventilator.
