New Delhi: 'Queen' is one of the most loved and popular films of Kangana Ranaut. Recently, director Vikas Bahl gave an update on the follow-up to his 2013 film Queen, which starred Kangana Ranaut in the title role. He discussed the plans and provided an update on the sequel's status in an interview with News18 Showsha.

Vikas Bahl on Queen sequel

In an interview with the website, Vikas stated that although Queen was released ten years ago, people still ask him about the follow-up. He added that he wanted the sequel to live up to the high standards set by the first movie.

Vikas Bahl said, "It makes me feel like the film was released just yesterday. I am happy to say that we have finished writing the story. So yes, the sequel should happen,” he said, adding, “If I didn’t feel the pressure of matching up to the expectations that people have from the sequel, I would have already made it four years back just for money. But we were sure we wouldn’t do it until we got a story that delivered as much as Queen did.”

Vikas Bahl upcoming movie Shaitaan

On March 9, Vikas' next movie 'Shaitaan', which stars Ajay Devgn, R Madhavan, and Jyothika in the lead parts, will be released. Jyothika will make her long-awaited return to Hindi film with 'Shaitaan'. This is Janki Bodiwala's film debut.

Shaitaan's teaser was unveiled by the filmmakers on Thursday, with the promise of an exciting ride full of turns and shocks. Despite saying he would leave in fifteen minutes, Madhavan's character turned Ajay and Jyothika's world upside down in the teaser.

Jio Studios, Ajay Devgn Ffilms, and Panorama Studios International are the film's presenters. Ajay, Jyoti Deshpande, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Abhishek Pathak are the film's producers. Many people are curious as to if 'Shaitaan' is a re-make of Krishnadev Yagnik's 2023 Gujarati film Vash, whose was music composed by Devi Sri Prasad.
