Thalapathy Vijay starrer ‘Master’, which released on January 13, has received a good response from the audience. The action thriller co-starring Vijay Sethupathi has managed to rake in big moolah at the box office despite the COVID-19 crisis. The film has reportedly collected Rs 50 crore in the first three days of release in Tamil Nadu. Yes, you read that right!

Trade analyst Kaushik LM took to Twitter to share the box office collection of ‘Master’. He wrote, "#Master smashes past the 50 CR gross mark in TN today (the third day). 3-days total TN gross will be close to 55 CR. Boxoffice Monster #ThalapathyVijay has made it look like the good-old days.”
Kaushik also informed the fans that ‘Master’ has crossed the Rs 100 crore mark at the worldwide box office. He tweeted, “#Master storms past 100 CR WW gross after just 3 days in running Just #ThalapathyVijay things! * release affected in key overseas markets, 50% occupancy cap in key domestic markets.”
Kaushik mentioned that the release of the film was affected in crucial international markets. The masala entertainer would have earned if there was no fifty per cent occupancy limit in key domestic territories.
‘Master’, which focused on the cash between JD and Bhavani, will be remade in India. After Akshay Kumar’s ‘Laxmii’, movie buffs will get to watch the remake of another hit Tamil movie. Endemol India, Murad Khetani and 7 Screen Studio have joined hands to produce the remake of ‘Master’.
Bollywood critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh has revealed details about the project. He said that the casting for the film will start soon.
"IT'S OFFICIAL... #MASTER #HINDI REMAKE... #Master - starring #Vijay and #VijaySethupathi - will now be remade in #Hindi... Endemol Shine India, Murad Khetani [Cine1 Studios] and 7 Screen Studio will produce the #Hindi adaptation... Casting for #Hindi remake will commence soon," Adarsh wrote on the micro-blogging site.
‘Master, which also features Malavika Mohanan, Andrea Jeremiah Shanthanu Bhagyaraj, has been directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. It is the first budgeted Tamil flick to hit the silver screens amid the COVID-19 crisis. Trade pundits expected the movie to do well at the box office and set the cash registers jingling.
