Democratic Party nominee Joseph R Biden has defeated Donald Trump to become the 46th President of the United States. Several Bollywood and TV celebrities including Priyanka Chopra, Nimrat Kaur, Kajal Aggarwal, Abhay Deol took to social media to congratulate Joe Biden and Kamala Harris on their victory.

Priyanka Chopra extended her heartfelt wishes to Biden and Karris and asked the girls to 'dream big' as anything can happen. PeeCee wrote, "America spoke in record breaking numbers and the verdict is in... EVERY VOTE counts. I applaud everyone who voted in what was such an powerful display of how a democracy should function. It was amazing to witness this election in the US. Congrats to the President Elect @joebiden and Vice President elect @kamalaharris, the first woman VP! Dream Big girls! Anything can happen!!"



'Airlift' actress Nimrat Kaur expressed her excitement over Biden and Harris' mighty achievement. She wrote, "Congratulations on a new dawn...and the might of the common man who willed it. #PresidentBiden."



Kajal Aggarwal, who recently tied the knot with Gautam Kitchlu, tweeted, "Congratulations to @KamalaHarris
for becoming the first female and first South Asian Vice President elect . Such an inspiration."



"God BLESSED America," Gauahar Khan tweeted.



'Dil Bechara' director Mukesh Chhabra shared a meme that is going viral on social media.

Riteish Deshmukh wished Joe Biden in his own special style after the 77-year-old became the new American President.



Joe Biden issued a statement after winning the elections. He said, "America, I’m honored that you have chosen me to lead our great country. The work ahead of us will be hard, but I promise you this: I will be a President for all Americans — whether you voted for me or not. I will keep the faith that you have placed in me."
