The biopic on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to be directed by 'Mary Kom' fame Omung Kumar, recently got announced and everyone is excited for the upcoming film. Actor Vivek Oberoi is playing the role of PM Modi in his biopic and recently the makers shared the first look poster of the biographical film in 23 languages. The poster in which Vivek can be seen standing in PM Modi's signature style got mixed reviews. But before him, another actor will be seen as Narendra Modi on-screen in this week's big release 'Uri - The Surgical Strike' starring Vicky Kaushal and Yami Gautam in lead roles.

Yes, you read that right!

According to latest reports, Film & TV actor Rajit Kapur, who was most recently seen as Alia Bhatt's father in lat year's super hit film 'Raazi', will be seen playing the role of PM Narendra Modi in 'Uri'.

Reportedly, the actor will be seen as PM Modi in few scenes of 'Uri' (cameo appearance) and will be seen adapting his body language and mannerisms perfectly in the film.

Produced by Ronnie Screwvala and directed by Aditya Dhar, 'Uri' is set to release on 11th January and also features Kirti Kulhari, Mohit Raina, Swaroop Sampat among others in pivotal roles.

Speaking further about Rajit Kapur, the actor has given many memorable performances in films like 'Maine Gandhi Ko Nahin Mara', 'The Making of the Mahatma', 'Zubeidaa' among others. Apart from 'Raazi', his other recent films include 'Begum Jaan', 'Baar Baar Dekho', 'Kick' and 'Ki & Ka'. He went on to win the National Award for Best Actor for his performance in 'The Making of the Mahatma'.

Now, only time will tell if his role in 'Uri' will turn out to be another memorable role of his career or not.
