New Delhi: Actor Abhishek Banerjee, who began his acting career with Delhi theatre, made his first film appearance with a small role in the superhit movie ‘Rang De Basanti’. He also worked as a casting director in ‘Soul Of Sand’, ‘The Dirty Picture’ and ‘No One Killed Jessica’. Abhishek Banerjee has come a long way in his career. He is popular for his role as ‘Hathoda Tyagi’ in the web series ‘Paatal Lok’.
Abhishek Banerjee played a small yet pivotal role in the first part of the popular web series ‘Mirzapur’. He was commended for his performance in the series where he played the role of a ‘compounder’. He, however, gained recognition when he illustrated the role of a silent killer ‘Hathoda Tyagi’ in the Anushka Sharma produced web series ‘Paatal Lok’. He was also one of the casting directors of ‘Paatal Lok’. Abhishek Banerjee also starred in TVF’s ‘Pitchers’, ‘Made In China’, ‘Dream Girl’, ‘Bala’, ‘Stree’, ‘Bhonsle’ and many others.

Banerjee was last seen starring opposite Nushrratt Bharuccha in the anthology film ‘Ajeeb Daastaans’ where he played the role of a ‘silent lover’.
