Based on the India-China war of 1962 the film shows Salman aka 'Lakshman' in an all innocent avatar who embarks on a journey to find his brother 'Bharat'(played by Sohail Khan) lost in the war with his faith that can't be shaken.
On being asked the reason behind choosing India-China war as a background to the film, Kabir said at trailer's launch, "The political issues the story deals with, are still relevant. In 1962, there was a border conflict between India and China. We are still dealing with some of them."
Kabir was present at the trailer launch along with Salman Khan, Sohail Khan and music director Pritam.
Since Kabir is working with Salman on their third movie after "Ek Tha Tiger" and "Bajrangi Bhaijaan", he said: "It is great that I have got a chance to work with one of the biggest superstars of the country but I also managed to do three very different films, that is important. Our relation has evolved with time and we understand each other better."
Salman shared the trailer on social media with a message that read - "Trailer made... only for you! bit.ly/TubelightOfficialTrailer @kabirkhankk @amarbutala @TubelightKiEid @SKFilmsOfficial".
While everyone awaited to see what SRK does in the film who's playing the role of a magician, the trailer serves an awesome glimpse of the Badshah too and we see him standing with his back facing screen and arms stretched out.. all grand in his signature dance move!
