New Delhi: ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ which stars Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar is about PM Narendra Modi's 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan'. It is a satirical comedy genre film based on the unhygienic conditions in the rural areas of India.

Filmmakers have released film's new poster. Akshay Kumar took to his Twitter account and shared the poster ‘Swachch Azaadi’ written on it.

Poster also shows Bhumi Padnekar and Akshay Kumar’s pictures apparently of married couple in the poster.

Film is directed by Shree Narayan Singh and scheduled to release on August 11 this year. Veteran actor Anupam Kher and Sana Khan are in important roles in the movie.


Akshay shared poster with captions written in Hindi and English both.



Earlier, Akshay shared a video telling his movie's research that more than half of Indian people do not have access to toilets and women face huge problems specifically.


According to a study, India has 60.4 % people without access to toilet as per PTI reports in November 2015.
