New Delhi: 'Tiger 3', starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, released on November 12 and in just eight days brought in Rs 230 crore net in India. The India vs. Australia World Cup final might have had a major adverse effect on the movie. 'Tiger 3' has reportedly made Rs 280 crore in India since its release, according to the makers. The movie has made another Rs 96 crore overseas, bringing its total earnings to Rs 376 crore in eight days. 


Maneesh Sharma is the director of the spy thriller, which is produced by Yash Raj Films (YRF), owned by Aditya Chopra. As of Sunday, the movie has grossed Rs 19 crore from both India and abroad.


Tiger 3's day 8 earnings in India reached Rs 10.25 crore nett after earning Rs 10.25 crore nett in Hindi and Rs 25 lakh in the dubbed Tamil and Telugu versions. 'Tiger 3' made its most day-wise collection to date, Rs 59.25 crore nett in India in all languages, on its opening Monday after premiering at Rs 44.5 crore nett in India in all languages on Diwali.


The movie is a sequel to 'Ek Tha Tiger' (2012) and 'Tiger Zinda Hai' (2017). It is set in YRF's Spy Universe, which also features Hrithik Roshan's Kabir from the War franchise and Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan character. The new film also marks Emraan Hashmi's entry in the franchise. In 'Tiger 3', the actor plays the role of the main villain. 


In 'Tiger 3', Salman Khan's super spy Avinash Singh Rathore, known as Tiger, teams up with Katrina Kaif, who plays former ISI operative Zoya. Emraan Hashmi plays Salman's Tiger's rival, Aatish Rehman, an ex-ISI agent. The newest movie in the YRF Spy Universe is Tiger 3, takes place following the events of Pathaan (2023).
