The Rabbit House Review
Written and directed by Vaibhav Kulkarni, the mystery thriller is the story of Shrikant (Amit Riyaan) and Komal (Karishma) and their Himachal Pradesh honeymoon that turns into a nightmare when the latter is found dead. The story begins when the newlyweds stay at The Rabbit House and try to get to know each other better. While Shrikanth suffers from OCD and is also short tempered, Komal appears to be a sweet, soft spoken woman who is alway in agreement with her husband.
Aside from them, the narrative also focuses on Mohit - the owner's son and caretaker of the accommodation. But is everything as it seems? Is Komal really dead? Did Shrikanth really push his wife off a cliff while angry with her? What does Mohit have to do with this mystery? To know the answers to all these questions, you need to watch The Rabbit House.
Performances
Karishma, Padmanabh Gaikwad and Amit Riyaan have delivered believable performances as Komal, Mohit and Shrikanth respectively. While Karishma beautifully portrays the innocence of Komal, Amit will make you shiver every moment you see Srikanth lose his cool on screen. Padmanabh too hits the bullseye when bringing Mohit to life.
Technically speaking, writer-director Vaibhav Kulkari has done a commendable job writing and directing The Rabbit House .The cinematography too impresses as the camera angles make you feel like you are actually present on location as the events unfold. The background score and well done editing only help in making the film a more immersive watch.
