Neel Sethi's Jungle Book is on a roll! Be it younger lot, or the elderly who are nostalgic about the Jungle Book, the movie has created some new records within two weeks of its release. Priyanka Chopra and Irrfan have lend their voices to the film and the movie is said to be the highest week one collection for any Hollywood release in India so far. And going by the cumulative reports of Week 1 and Week 2, Jungle Book has entered the 100 crores club!

Hollywood filmmaker Jon Favreau’s 3D live-animation adventure fantasy film “The Jungle Book” is running strong. The film released in India in four different languages (English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu), brings a story straight from the enchanting forest of India and presents a modern take on Rudyard Kipling’s timeless classic, originally published in 1894.

Week 1 saw the movie collect Rs 74.63 crores in India, and last Friday the number elevated to 82.65 Crores by including 8th day numbers. This is a record. It is the HIGHEST 8th day collection for any Hollywood movie ever. And also the BIGGEST second Friday for any movie released in 2016 in India. The thing to note here is that Mowgli has beaten all the Avengers from Marvel universe with these numbers. Within one week The Jungle Book has crossed the lifetime number of the film Avengers: Age Of Ultron, which was only able to collect Rs 73 Crores by the third week.

Trade Analyst, Taran Adarsh wrote on Twitter, ''Looking at the current trends, is expected to cross ₹ 100 cr nett biz in its Weekend 2 itself. India biz.''

Bollywood stars likes Irrfan Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Nana Patekar, Shefali Shah and Om Puri have lent their voice for the Hindi version of “The Jungle Book”.
