New Delhi: Kangana Ranaut starrer aerial action, ‘Tejas’, refused to take off after a poor weekend run at the box office. The film completely collapsed on Monday as it saw a shocking drop in collections.
According to the Sacknilk report, the film has earned Rs 50 lakh on its first Monday. The film opened on a disastrous note, raking in just Rs 1.25 crore. The following two days saw little to no growth in the films' collections. After Monday's collections,’ Tejas' total collection stands at Rs 4,25 crore.
However, on Monday, ‘Tejas’ registered a 6.6% occupancy rate in Hindi. The film's occupancy rate has not improved since it opened on Saturday with a collection of ₹ 1.25 crore, followed by similar numbers on Sunday.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will be attending a special screening of ‘Tejas’ on Tuesday at the Lok Bhawan Auditorium in Lucknow. Kangana Ranaut will also be present at the special screening of the film.
Before the film's release, Kangana had hosted a special screening for Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and several Indian Air Force officers at the Indian Air Force Auditorium in Delhi.
Helmed by Sarvesh Mewara, in the film ‘Tejas’, Kangana plays the role of Tejas Gill, a pilot in the Indian Air Force who puts in a lot of effort to become a better pilot and then embarks on a risky rescue mission.
