Tanushree Dutta has been credited for being the torch bearer of #MeToo movement in India after she accused Nana Patekar of sexual harassment. Several women from different walks of the society have come forward with their tales of #MeToo after the ‘Aashiq Banaya Aapne’ actress levelled allegations of misconduct against Patekar. Controversy’s favourite child Rakhi Sawant had lashed out at Tanushree and said that the ‘Dhol’ actress was present on the sets of the film ‘Horn Ok Pleasssss’ but passed out in her vanity van due to drugs usage.

Rakhi had supported Nana Patekar and said that Tanushree had consumed drugs and she was unconscious for four hours on the film’s set. She had also alleged that Tanushree was doing everything for publicity and to enter Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss 12.

As per the latest buzz, Tanushree has filed Rs 10 crore defamation case against Rakhi Sawant for maligning her image. The former Miss India has filed a criminal and civil defamation case against Rakhi Sawant, as per a report in a news channel.

"We have filed a criminal and civil defamation case against Rakhi Sawant for maligning my client's character and image," Tanushree's lawyer, Nitin Satpute, told Republic TV.

Satpute further told the news channel that if Rakhi failed to revert, she may face a punishment of two years or get fined or even get both fined and punished.

We wonder what the Rakhi Sawant has to say about the defamation case filed against her.

For the uninitiated, Tanushree has also filed a police complaint against Nana Patekar, Rakesh Sarang, producer Sami Siddiqui and choreographer Ganesh Acharya.

Patekar, who was part of Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Housefull 4’, had to leave the film because of the allegations against him.
