New Delhi: The first teaser of ‘Saand Ki Aankh’ has managed to create anticipation among movie buffs. The film starring Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar is based on the life of sharpshooters Chandro Tomar and her sister-in-law Prakashi Tomar. Bollywood celebs including Amitabh Bachchan and Varun have appreciated the film’s teaser on social media.

Varun, who is currently busy shooting for ‘Street Dancer 3D’, praised the director Tushar Hiranandani on Twitter.

The ‘Kalank’ actor tweeted, ‘’ Proud of you Tushar. Bringing real Indian heroes on the big screen. Best dadis.’’


Taapsee replied back to Varun and wrote, ‘’Arre Varun but u have not written our names. y no appreciation for us ??? Why why why?”


The ‘Pink’ actress took a sly dig at Kangana Ranaut’s sister Rangoli Chandel. For all those who are not aware, Rangoli had called out Taapsee and Varun for not mentioning Kangana’s name while praising the trailer of ‘Judgementall Hai Kya’.

Rangoli had slammed Taapsee, calling her ‘sasti copy’ of Taapse. In another tweet, she asked Varun to mention her sister’s name while appreciating the trailer of ‘Judgementall Hai Kya’.

‘’Kuch log Kangana ko copy kar ke he apni dukaan chalate hain, magar pls note, they never acknowledge her not even a mention of her name in praising the trailer, last I heard Taapsee ji said Kangana needs a double filter and Tapsee ji you need to stop being a sasti copy,’’ Rangoli wrote on the micro-blogging site.

When Taapsee was asked to react to Rangoli’s comment on her, she said that she had mo time to waste on this.

“Short life, no time to waste on this. Have so many happier and better things happening in my life to look at right now,” the ‘Game Over’ actress told News18.

On the professional front, Taapsee will be next seen in ‘Mission Mangal’ co-starring Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha and Vidya Balan. The film will release on August 15.

Talking about ‘Saand Ki Aankh’, the biopic will hit the silver screens on October 25, 2019.
