After premiering on online video streaming platform Disney+ Hotstar, actor Sushant Singh Rajput's last film 'Dil Bechara' has released in theatres of New Zealand and Fiji.


Despite limited screens and tough competition from Christopher Nolan’s Tenet, Dil Bechara performed well at the box office. The film earned Rs 2.37 Crore in New Zealand and Rs 1.18 Crore in Fiji.

Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Instagram to share the exclusive information about the film's release.

"Xclusiv: After its premiere on #DisneyPlusHotstar, #DilBechara has released in *theatres* in #NewZealand and #Fiji... Despite tough competition from #Tenet + releasing in limited screens/shows, #DilBechara has done FANTASTIC," he wrote.


Adarsh also shared that film raked in a total of New Zealand Dollars 48,436 in New Zealand and Fijian Dollar 33, 864.
The film became a blockbuster hit in India soon after its release with both critics and fans pouring love over Rajput's last film.

Dil Bechara had its digital premiere on Disney+Hotstar on July 24 and reportedly garnered 95 million views in 24 hours. The film’s trailer also broke records and garnered more than 4.8 million likes in 24 hours, beating the record of Avengers: Endgame.

Dil Bechara also stars Sanjana Sanghi as the leading actress in the film. She plays the role of Kizie Basu in the film while Sushant Singh Rajput plays Manny. The film is the Hindi remake of Hollywood blockbuster The Fault in Our Stars and is helmed by Mukesh Chhabra.
