New Delhi: Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput impressed the audience and critics with his performance in Abhishek Kapoor’s ‘Kedarnath’. The ‘Kai Po Che’ actor has a couple of exciting projects in his kitty and one of them is the Indian adaption of hit Hollywood film ‘Fault in our Stars’. The film, which was named ‘Kizie Aur Manny’, has got a new title. The makers of the much-awaited film have released a new poster featuring Sushant and debutant Sanjana Sanghi. They have announced the new name of the film- ‘Dil Bechara’.


Sushant took to Twitter to share the fresh poster and also announce the new title of the film.

“Jab baat Dil ki ho, then let everyone know. #KizzieAurManny is now #DilBechara@foxstarhindi @sanjanasanghi96 @CastingChhabra,’’ the ‘Raabta’ actor wrote on the micro-blogging site.


Rucha Pathak, chief creative officer of Fox Star Studios, while talking to a leading daily, said that the film’s new title emerged while the shooting was going on.

“AR Rahman, who is composing the music, shared a vibrant and fun number, with lyrics penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya. When we heard the song, we found our title in it. It perfectly embodies the theme of our film,” Rucha told Mumbai Mirror.

Interestingly, the report in the daily also said that Saif Ali Khan has joined the star cast of the film. The ‘Sacred Games’ actor will play the role of author Peter Van Houten in ‘Dil Bechara’. The role was originally played by actor Willem Dafoe in the Hollywood adaptation of the book by John Green.

"We shot in Paris for a week but Saif was only there for a few days. He gelled well with the team and we had a great time," the film’s director Mukesh Chabra told the daily.

Sushant, who is romancing Sanjana in 'Dil Bechara', will be next seen in 'Sonchiriya'. The film, which also stars Bhumi Pednekar, Ashutosh Rana, Manoj Bajpayee and Ranvir Shorey, will hit the silver screens on March 1.
