New Delhi: Late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s father KK Singh met Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday (September 30) in Patna. Last month, Mr. Singh had met Kumar to request him to order a CBI probe into Sushant’s death case. The Centre had accepted Bihar government’s recommendation to initiate a CBI inquiry in the ‘Dil Bechara’ actor’s case, following which the Supreme Court ordered the federal agency to investigate the matter.

Sushant’s family’s lawyer Vikas Singh held a press conference last week and said that media attention is being diverted from the case by calling big Bollywood stars. He added that the family members are worried over the delay in CBI investigation. It is yet not clear why the ‘Pavitra Rishta’ actor’s father met Bihar CM Nitish Kumar.

Sushant’s death case took a new turn when his father lodged an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty, her family members under various sections of the IPC including abetment to suicide at Patna’s Rajiv Nagar Police station. He accused Rhea of keeping SSR away from his family and using him to further her career in the film industry. In his six-page long FIR, KK Singh also alleged that Rs 15 crores were transferred from Sushant’s bank account to other accounts not linked with the ‘Raabta’ actor.

Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his apartment in Mumbai on June 14. Three Central agencies- the CBI, the ED and the NCB are currently investigating the high profile case.

On a related note, the Bombay High Court has reserved the order on the bail pleas of Rhea Chakraborty, Showik Chakraborty and others in connection with the drug case linked to Sushant’s death. The sister-brother duo was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau earlier this month. The drugs law enforcement agency arrested the ‘Jalebi’ actress on charges of procuring and financing the drugs for Sushant.
