New Delhi: Akshay Kumar’s ‘Laxmmi Bomb’ has been making waves ever since the first motion poster was unveiled earlier this month. The makers of the much-awaited film announced that ‘Laxmmi Bomb’ will premiere directly on Disney+ Hotstar on November 9, a day before the finals of IPL 2020. Akshay, who is playing the role of a transgender in the flick, has promised the fans a big Diwali dhamaka. While the comedy horror drama will have a direct-to-web release in India, the UK and the US, it will hit the silver screens in certain markets. Yes, you read that right!

‘Laxmmi Bomb’ will release in Australia, New Zealand and UAE on November 9, the same date it will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar. Tusshar Kapoor, who is the producer of the film, took to social media to share the news with the fans. The ‘Golmaal’ actor also shared a new poster of ‘Laxmmi Bomb’.

Akshay Kumar can be seen in two different looks in the poster- a man with a moustache in the foreground and a transgender in the background.

“This Diwali, Laxmmi Bomb to release day and date on 9th November in Australia, New Zealand and UAE. Directed by Raghava Lawrence the movie stars Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani in the lead,” Kapoor tweeted.



‘Laxmmi Bomb’ is the Hindi remake of Tamil blockbuster ‘Muni: Kanchana 2’. Raghava Lawrence, who helmed the original, has directed ‘Laxmmi Bomb’. The highly anticipate movie also stars Kiara Advani in a key role.

The motion poster of ‘Laxmmi Bomb’, which created a lot of buzz, became the most viewed motion poster with over 21 million views within 24 hours.

Gossip mills suggest that the makers of ‘Laxmmi Bomb’ have sold the digital rights of the film for whopping amount to the leading OTT platform. The movie was originally slated to hit the theatres on Eid 2020. However, the flick couldn’t release as the cinema halls were shut due to the COVID-19 crisis.
