New Delhi: After the controversial WhatsApp chats over the usage of drugs surfaced, Goa-based hotelier Gaurav Arya has stepped forward and claimed that he saw Rhea Chakraborty for the first time three years ago in 2017 but never met Sushant Singh Rajput.

As reported by news agency ANI, Gaurav Arya in an interaction with media at the Goa Airport today said, "I have no connection with the case. I never met Sushant Singh Rajput. I met her (Rhea) in 2017."



Arya owns The Tamarind Hotel at the Anjuna area in Goa. It is to be noted that he has been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with money laundering allegations made by late actor's family. He will be interrogated by the agency on Monday, August 31.

Gaurav's name had sprung up in the Sushant Singh Rajput's death case when a few screenshots of WhatsApp chats between Rhea Chakraborty and Gaurav Arya surfaced hinting latter's involvement with drugs.

While the CBI, ED and NCB are probing different angles in the death case of 'Del Bechara' actor, his sister Shweta Singh Kirti has revealed the ‘drug chats’ of Rhea. Shweta while sharing the WhatsApp chats, demanded the arrest of the culprits of her brother’s death. She wrote, "What are we to conclude?? #ArrestCulpritsOfSSR".

Meanwhile, the 'Jalebi's actress has been grilled by the CBI thrice. As per the reports, she was interrogated for the second time yesterday for about seven hours, after being questioned for more than 10 hours on August 28. Apart from the 'Chehre' actress, her brother Showik Chakraborty has also been grilled by the CBI.
