The death case of Sushant Singh Rajput is becoming mysterious day by day. After the late actor’s father lodged an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty and others at Patna Police Station, the ‘Jalebi’ actress filed a petition in the Supreme Court seeking the transfer of the case from Bihar to Mumbai. Though the Centre has given its nod for a CBI investigation in SSR’s death case, everything now depends on SC’s verdict. The ‘Chhichhore’ actor’s family lawyer Vikas Singh expressed shock on the delay of Supreme Court’s verdict in one of his recent interactions with the media.

While speaking to Republic TV, SSR’s family lawyer said that he is very shocked with this delay as he feels that not only a day but a single hour is crucial for the evidence. Vikas Singh further added that this might be happening supposedly because of a detailed judgement but feels that time is getting wasted. Singh was quoted saying, “I believe the delay is happening because the respected judge is writing a detailed judgement. What our expectation from the judiciary was that the nod to CBI should have been given that day itself, the detailed judgement could have been pronounced later. If there was a doubt of allowing the Mumbai Police to continue, then only I believe it's taking so much time. Otherwise, I fail to understand this delay in a case where not just a day but a single hour is also extremely crucial for evidence."

In the interview, Vikas Singh further expressed that if crucial pieces of evidence are being tampered with in the meantime, then this will be a major blow to the case. He also added that the CBI is also awaiting clarity.

Rhea Chakraborty’s last plea hearing session in the Supreme Court was held on August 11.

Sushant Singh Rajput was allegedly found hanging in his Bandra apartment and the investigation is still under process.
