It can be recalled that Pancholi's name was linked to the deaths of celebrity manager Disha Salian and Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput in June.

The ‘Hero’ actor even came out in the front and demanded a CBI investigation. He hoped that the ‘Dil Bechara’ actor’s family ‘gets the closure they need’. Pancholi added that SSR’s family and world need to know ‘what actually happened'.

Sooraj, in an interview with ABP News, had earlier denied the rumours of his tiff with Sushant. He said, "Although, we were not good friends but we never had an issues or fights with each other. When the article about our ‘tiff’ was published in a newspaper in 2017, Sushant called me and asked me to give a clarification to the newspaper. I issued a statement to the daily and refuted the rumours of a fight."

Earlier this month, Sooraj had also lodged a complaint at Mumbai's Versova police station against small-time actor Puneet Vashisht for dragging his name unnecessarily into Sushant Singh Rajput's death case. Pancholi had accused Puneet writing defamatory Facebook post in connection with the suicide case of Sushant Singh Rajput and Salian.
