A day after Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has refused to free Bihar IPS officer Vinay Tiwari from quarantine, Bihar DGP Gupteshwar Pandey has warned of legal action. Bihar IPS officer Vinay Tiwari  had gone to Mumbai to probe actor Sushant Singh Rajput death case when he was quarantined by the BMC soon after his arrival in Mumbai on Sunday.

On Thursday,  Gupteshwar Pandey told that if Vinay Tiwari is not released from 'forcible quarantine' by the end of the day, he will seek legal action.

Earlier on Wednesday too, the Bihar DGP had tweeted expressing displeasure on the matter. He said that despite of Supreme Court being critical about quarantining of Vinay Tiwari, BMC hasn't released the officer.

The four-member Bihar Police team which was in Mumbai to investigate the alleged suicide case of actor Sushant Singh Rajput returned to Patna on Thursday. The team will submit its report to Patna's Superintendent of Police Upendra Sharma.

The police team arrived at Patna Airport on Thursday afternoon.
