Sushant Singh Rajput's Sister Shweta Announces Scholarship Of Rs 25 Lakh For Astrophysics Students On His Birth Anniversary

Shweta Singh Kirti shared a collage of photos to remember her brother Sushant Singh Rajput on his birth anniversary and announced that a memorial fund has been set in his name.

Late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s sister Shweta Singh Kirti shared an emotional post for the ‘Pavitra Rishta’ star on his birth anniversary. January 21 marks SSR’s first birth anniversary after his untimely demise last year. Shweta posted a collage of photos with the ‘Raabta’ actor on her official Instagram handle along with a sweet caption.

Shweta cherished old memories of Sushant and penned a heartfelt post for him. She wrote, "Love you Bhai. You are part of me and will always remain so... #SushantDay."

Fans have flooded the comments section with their messages. One user wrote, “Happy Birthday To Our Inspiration!Thankyou Sush for teaching us to live our life to the fullest. You’re FOREVER & we mean it.” The photo has received over 1 lakh likes. Check out the post!

Shweta, who often shares throwback photos of Sushant, revealed that a memorial fund has been set up in UC Berkeley. She added that people interested in pursuing Astrophysics can apply for the fund. Kirti announced a scholarship worth USD 35,000 which is almost equivalent to Rs 25.5 lakhs in Indian currency. 

“I am happy to announce that on 35th Birthday of Bhai, a step has been taken towards fulfilling one of his dreams. The Sushant Singh Rajput Memorial Fund of $35,000 has been set up in UC Berkeley. Anyone who is interested in pursuing Astrophysics at UC Berkeley can apply for this fund. Grateful to the Angels who made it possible. Happy Birthday my little Brother, I hope you always stay happy wherever you are! Love You,” her post read.

Sushant’s last film ‘Dil Bechara’ premiered directly on Disne+Hotstar on July 24, 2020. The film received a massive response from the audience on the leading OTT platform. It marked the Bollywood debut of Sanjana Sanghi, who played the role of Kizie. The Mukesh Chhabra directorial is the official adaptation of John Green’s novel ‘The Fault In Our Stars’.

Sushant Singh Rajput, who made a successful transition from TV to cinema, passed away at the age of 34. He was found dead at his apartment in Mumbai on June 14, 2020. Three Central agencies including the Central Bureau Of Investigation, the Enforcement Directorate and the Narcotics Control Bureau are investing his case.
