New Delhi: Bollywood actor Sunny Deol is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film 'Gadar 2', the sequel to the blockbuster drama 'Gadar' starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel. The film's trailer packed with action, love and drama was released in Mumbai on Tuesday. While the trailer looks promising, Sunny Deol, however, is facing backlash for a comment that he made at the trailer launch event.

Sunny Deol commented on India-Pakistan relations and said, "There is love on both sides (India-Pakistan). It is the political game that creates all this hatred. And you will see the same in this film as well that the people do not want us to fight with each other."

The 65-year-old actor is receiving criticism for his remarks on the subject and for glorifying Pakistanis on the occassion of Kargil Diwas.

The actor made this statement in light of the two recent cross-border "love" stories that captured the interest of both Pakistan and India. Seema Haider, a Pakistani woman, entered India illegally with her four children in order to marry an Indian man she met through the PUBG mobile game. In a similar situation, a mother of two from India travelled to Pakistan and married a local man there whom she met on Facebook.
