New Delhi: Director Subhash Ghai gave Bollywood star Jackie Shroff, who turned 66 on Wednesday, a unique gift in the form of a brand-new movie.
Subhash Ghai announced his upcoming movie with Jackie Shroff on the actor's birthday, taking his relationship with the actor to a new level. He took to Instagram to share the news along with a throwback picture of the actor from his previous film.
"Once a HERO - always a HERO. BORN as a new super HERO in our film HERO 1983 and #YAADEIN 2001 now comes in 2023 as a heart-warming super HERO on big screen film being produced by @MuktaArtsLtd on our script like never before. HAPPY BIRTHDAY 'JACKIE' from everyone from Mukta arts zee studios and all of us," Ghai wrote in the caption.
Jackie Shroff and the renowned director first worked together on the 1983 film 'Hero', which served as the actor's feature film debut in Bollywood. Later, Ghai went on to work with him again in ‘Yaadein’ in 2001.
Meanwhile, Jackie Shroff recently shared getting a rare gift from his fans. The actor's fans organised a pooja, a blood drive, a community lunch for more than 10,000 people, and the distribution of blankets and books to underprivileged kids.
"I feel really overwhelmed and grateful to have fans who organise such social interest activities. This makes you believe that there are indeed good people in this society. I am really glad that my fans have been organising such community events and drives for my birthday over the years," the actor told the news agency IANS.
"It is a gift that I will never forget for years to come. I hope they continue doing such good deeds for the betterment of this society," he added.
On the work front, Jackie Shroff will be seen in 'Quotation Gang' directed by Vivek.K. Kannan.
