New Delhi: Karan Johar’s much-awaited film ‘Student of the Year 2’ hit the silver screens on Friday (May 10). The Punit Malhotra directorial marked the Bollywood debut of Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria. The film co-starring Tiger Shroff has received a mixed response from the critics and movie buffs. Aditya Seal, who played the main antagonist in ‘SOTY 2’, has been appreciated for his performance as a baddie.


The talented actor is grabbing eyeballs these days, for both professional and personal reasons. Speculations are rife that Aditya Seal would get engaged with rumoured girlfriend Anushka Ranjan in November this year. The rumours of his engagement spread like wildfire on the internet and generated quite a buzz.

Aditya while talking to an entertainment portal, refuted the rumours and said that he was only focusing on his career.

"I really want to know who spread this. It came as news to me. I was like wait, what. I woke up in the morning and had a hearty laugh thinking what are people talking about! When I am totally focussing on my work, people are saying these things. It's funny, there's no absolutely no truth to it," Aditya was quoted as saying to Times Now/Zoom.


The 31-year-old actor also said he is close friends with Anushka and the rumours of their engagement were false.

"Firstly, we are great friends. I enjoy her company, it's amazing. She's a fantastic girl, I love spending time with her. But rumours about me getting engaged are so bullshit. It hasn't even crossed my mind as of right now. Work is all I am thinking about," Aditya further said.


Anushka Ranjan made her Hindi film debut with the film 'Wedding Pullav' and was last seen in 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu'. The popular model, who attended the special screening of ‘Student of the Year 2’, took to Instagram to pen a heartfelt post for Aditya.

On the professional front, Aditya made his Bollywood debut as a child artist in ‘Ek Chhotisi Love Story’ in 2002. The actor has also featured in films like ‘Namastey England’ and ‘Tum Bin II’.
