New Delhi: The American superhero movie ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ got a release on December 16, 2021, in India. Soon after its release, the 27th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been smashing records and has brought back rejoice for cinema-goers in the country.


Smashing all records, ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ gets the biggest ever opening day in 2021 in India including all Hindi and English films. The movie has collected 32.67 crores in net box office collection and 41.50 crores in gross box office collection on Day 1. ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ has also managed to beat the Day 1 record of Akshay Kumar’s ‘Sooryavanshi’ which was 26.29 crores in India.


‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ has also emerged as the 2nd biggest opener in the history of Hollywood movies in India. ‘Avengers: Endgame’ still stands at the first position. Also, according to the Multiplex Association of India, the movie has become the second busiest advance ticket sales for a single movie title in the entire history of cinema exhibition.


Despite cinema halls operating at 50 per cent occupancy, ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ is ranking at 1st at Asia and 5th in the world with its Day 1 box office collection.


‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ has released in India in 3264 screens getting the widest ever release for any Hollywood movie in the country.


Helmed by Jon Watts, ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ features Tom Holland playing the titular role alongside Zendaya, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jacob Batalon, Jon Favreau, Jamie Foxx, Willem Dafoe, Alfred Molina, Benedict Wong, Tony Revolori, Marisa Tomei, Andrew Garfield, and Tobey Maguire.
