After Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter’s rocking entry in Hindi films, all eyes are now on Ananya Panday and Sara Ali Khan. Chunky Panday and Bhavna Panday’s daughter Ananya is currently busy shooting for Karan Johar’s ‘Student of the Year 2’. The Puneet Malhotra directorial was slated to hit the silver screens this year but it will now release on May 10 next year. SOTY 2 will mark the Bollywood debut of the 19-year-old actress but if a recent grapevine is to be believed, Ananya will start her tinsel town journey with Ranveer Singh’s ‘Gully Boy’.

A report in an entertainment website suggested that the star kid has a cameo in the Zoya Akhtar directorial which also stars Alia Bhatt. ‘Gully Boy’, which is based on the life of street rappers in Mumbai was scheduled to hit the cinema theatres post SOTY 2, making it Ananya’s second film. However, the second installment of the ‘Student of the Year’ franchise has now got postponed, thus making ‘Gully Boy’ her first film.

Sources told in.com that Ananya would make her silver screen debut with the musical drama ‘Gully Boy’. The movie produced by Tiger Baby and Excel Entertainment productions will release on February 14, 2019.

Talking about SOTY 2, it also stars Tara Sutaria, who is also making her B-town debut with the Dharma Productions’ film. The makers of the film have shot for the first and second schedule in Dehradun and Mussorrie respectively. SOTY proved to be the perfect launching pad for Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra. Unlike the first installment, SOTY 2 will be a two-heroine project.

Speculations are rife that the original SOTY trio- Alia, Varun and Sidharth will shake their leg along with Tiger Shroff for a special song.
