New Delhi: 2020 was a challenging year for everyone. The COVID-19 pandemic affected people from all walks of life, specially the lower case. The Coronavirus crisis and the subsequent lockdown severely affected the migrant workers, who were forced to return to their hometown due to lack of work. Bollywood actor Sonu Sood emerged as the messiah for the migrant workers, who were stranded in different parts of the country during the COVID-19 lockdown. The 'Dabangg' star, who has played villainous roles on the silver screen, extended support to every person who was in need of help. He made full use of social media to provide assistance to the students, ailing people and others during the tough times.

The 'R Rajkumar' actor has now come forward to help the technicians and daily wage earners, who are working in his upcoming film. He distributed mobile phones to the crew members who are part of his movie 'Archarya'. The philanthropist won several hearts with his self-less deed as he helped the crew members get back to their feet.

Sonu Sood called it a New Year gift to and said that he is happy to help the people who are associated with his upcoming project.

"I am happy and feel blessed that I could help the crew members. They are some of the warmest and most hardworking people. The phones are my New Year gifts to them," the 'Simmba' actor said in a statement.

Sonu's 'Acharya' co-star Chiranjeevi shared a glimpse of the sets of the film on Twitter. Sood expressed his excitement on working with the veteran actor on the sets of the movie. He tweeted, "One of the best sets ever.

On the professional front, Sonu Sood has several exciting projects in his kitty including 'Prithviraj', 'Thamilarasan' and 'Acharya'.
