Bollywood actor Sonu Sood has tested positive for COVID-19. The actor revealed the update from his social media and said that he has already quarantined himself with utmost precautions. 



Sonu revealed in a statement that read, "Hi everyone, this is to inform you that I have tested positive this morning for COVID-19. As a part of precautions I have already quarantined my self and taking utmost care. But don't worry this gives me ample time to solve your problems. Remember I'm always there for you all."


Sonu Sood has been working selflessly and relentlessly for the welfare of the citizens of the country ever since the nationwide lockdown was implemented last year due to the outbreak of COVID-19. The 'Prithviraj' actor sent several migrant labourers home who got stuck after the lockdown was implemented. He also lent out a helping hand to the students who were stuck outside of the country and helped them reach home. He arranged buses, trains and flights for the migrants. 


Sonu Sood is well-known for his philanthropic activities and since last year, he has helped many people. He also helped those who are in need of medical assistance and provided a helping hand through his charity foundation. 


Speaking on the professional front, Sonu Sood started his acting career with Tamil movie with brief roles in 1999 movies 'Kallazhagar' and 'Nenjinile'. He made his Hindi film debut with the 2002 film 'Shaheed-E-Azam'. Sonu Sood has appeared in movies like 'Aashiq Banaya Aapne', 'Jodhaa Akbar', 'Singh Is Kinng', 'Arundhati', 'Dabbang', 'Simmba' and many more.


Sonu Sood will be next seen starring in Akshay Kumar starter 'Prithviraj' and 'Thamilarasan'.
