The aerial action drama Sky Force, led by Akshay Kumar and introducing Veer Pahariya, has been making waves at the box office since its release. The film, which raked in over ₹60 crore in its opening weekend, witnessed its first decline in collections on Monday, earning ₹6.25 crore. With these numbers, Sky Force is inching closer to the ₹100-crore milestone.

On its fourth day of release, the first Monday, Sky Force experienced a notable dip in collections. Since the day followed the Republic Day holiday, a significant drop was anticipated, and the numbers reflected just that. According to figures from Sacnilk, the film saw a sharp 77% decline, collecting ₹6.25 crore on Monday compared to ₹28 crore on Sunday.


With this, the total domestic nett collection of Sky Force stands at ₹68.50 crore after four days. Based on early estimates, the figure is expected to surpass ₹75 crore once the official numbers are released by the makers on Tuesday afternoon.


 



Sky Force overseas box office collection


The film has also performed commendably overseas, earning $800K (over ₹6.5 crore) during its first weekend. Combining domestic and international earnings, Sky Force has amassed an estimated ₹90 crore worldwide in its first four days. Positive word of mouth contributed to strong growth on days 2 and 3, and the makers now hope for a rebound on Tuesday after Monday’s decline.

Directed by Abhishek Anil Kapur and Sandeep Kewlani, Sky Force is inspired by the Sargodha airbase attack during the Indo-Pakistani air war of 1965. The film stars Akshay Kumar and debutant Veer Pahariya, with Sara Ali Khan and Sharad Kelkar in key roles and a special cameo by Nimrat Kaur.
