Bollywood actor Shreyas Talpade, who made his debut with Nagesh Kukunoor's acclaimed film 'Iqbal' in 2005, is a happy man these days. The actor, who tied the knot with wife Deepti in 2004, is now a father to a baby girl. Reportedly, the couple welcomed their baby on 4th May via surrogacy. The little princess is the first child of Shreyas & Deepti after 14 years of their marriage & the couple is elated with her arrival. The couple was heading to Hong Kong for a holiday when their daughter arrived earlier than expected.

Speaking about the same, Shreyas told a leading daily that the date given to them was between May 10 and 12 so Deepti and he flew off to Hong Kong from where they were scheduled to go on a cruise. “On the way, we learnt that the surrogate mother had gone into labour prematurely so we changed our plans and headed back to India the same night,” the actor added.

Shreyas also revealed that there were certain issues & the doctor advised them to opt for surrogacy which he considers the best option.

Talking further about his plans now he further told Mumbai Mirror that, “I was to start shooting from May 15but luckily for me the shoot has been pushed to June so I’ve got a month to focus on my baby. I’ve always wanted a daughter so I could buy her dolls, teddy bears and plenty of pretty dresses.”

On the career front, 'Apna Sapna Money Money', ''Dor', 'Golmaal Returns', 'Om Shanti Om', 'Golmaal 3', 'Housefull 3' among others. Last year, she also made her directorial debut with the film 'Poster Boys' co-starring Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol.
