The #MeToo movement started in India when Tanushree Dutta accused actor Nana Patekar of sexual harrasment on the sets of the film ‘Horn Ok Pleassss’. Tanushree’s no-holds-barred interview opened a can of worms in Bollywood and helped the campaign gain momentum. ‘Queen’ director Vikas Bahl has been accused of sexual assault by one of the female employees in Phantom Films, company which has now been dissolved. Vinta Nanda, the producer-writer of the hit 90’s show has accused the lead actor of the soap opera of sexually exploiting her back then.

Vinta penned down her ordeal on Facebook and even alleged that the actor even harassed the female actress of the show and they had decided to let him go.

''I was producing and writing the No 1 show on TV called Tara.
He was after my lead girl.
She was not interested in him.
He was an alcoholic, shameless and obnoxious but he was also the television star of that decade, so not only was he forgiven for all his bad behaviour but many of the guys would egg him on to be his worst.
My lead female actor was being harassed by him.
He would mess with her on the sets and everyone would be silent.
When she complained to us, we decided to let him go.
We needed one last shot between them and soon after it had been taken we had planned to let him know that we didn’t want to work with him any longer.
He had become aware of our plan and on that day, he came drunk on our sets.
He continued to drink till the time he was called for the shot.
When the moment came and the camera rolled, he felt up our female lead and very viciously.
My lead actress slapped him.
We asked him to leave the sets and told him that he was not going to be on the show any longer,'' Vinta wrote on Facebook.

Here's her full Facebook post.

The show, which starred Alok Nath and Navneet Nishan in lead roles, is still remembered for its impressive storyline and impressive performances of the actors.

Comedian Mallika Dua shared Nanda's post on Twitter and called it terrifying.

''My ass. This is so terrifying. How must she have dealt with this alone in the bloody 90’s. Thank god for social media,'' Dua tweeted with screenshots of the post.

Some of the Twitter users have commented on Mallika's post and asked if the accused person is Alok Nath.

Several users commented to Vinita's post and asked her to reveal the name of the person.
