New Delhi: Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra have filed a defamation suit against actress Sherlyn Chopra, according to a report in ANI. The couple has filed a Rs 50 crore defamation suit against Sherlyn, who lodged a complaint against them in a police station in Mumbai. Chopra had accused Shetty and Kundra of mentally and sexually harassing her.
According to a report of ANI, “Actor Shilpa Shetty & her husband Raj Kundra file a defamation suit of Rs 50 crores against Sherlyn Chopra.”
The report further read, “Chopra had filed a complaint against Raj Kundra & Shilpa Shetty for allegedly committing sexual harassment, cheating & criminal intimidation”.
Sherlyn Chopra also tweeted, “Raj Kundra's & Shilpa Shetty Kundra’s modus operandi: Not only did Raj Kundra threaten me with underworld threats on 19th April 2021 at my residence, his wife, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, threatened me over a phone call on the same day saying that - if news about Raj’s sexual exploitation & rape got out, they would file a defamation suit against me for crores of rupees. U can’t sexually exploit an artist, rape her & then threaten to file a defamation suit against her should she choose to file a police complaint against ur - atrocities. THIS IS CRIMINAL INTIMIDATION which I had anticipated and mentioned in my Legal Notice to Raj Kundra, Shilpa Shetty Kundra & others which was dispatched on 4th Oct 2021.”

Sherlyn Chopra has been very vocal during the Raj Kundra pornography case. She even shared posts and videos during the time of Raj Kundra’s arrest. Without taking a name, Sherlyn Chopra took a dig at Shilpa and said in a video, “According to some reports, didi is saying that she was not aware of the nefarious activities of her husband. Didi is also saying that she doesn’t know about the movable and immovable assets of her husband. How true is this statement, you guys can understand yourselves.”
Raj Kundra was arrested by the Mumbai Police on July 19, 2021. The businessman got out on bail last month.
