Shilpa, who judges Dance Reality show \'Super Dancer\' on Sony TV along with Anurag Basu & Geeta Kapoor got into tears in the opening week of the show when 9 year old physically challenged Dev Varshney from Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh performed on stage.

Dev has deformed legs since birth and can\'t even walk properly but when he came on stage he set it on fire. The full of zeal, Dev danced his heart out on \'Maai teri chunariya leghrayee..\' from ABCD 2 and the judges looked on mesmerized while his mother Neetu Varshini sitting in audience was crying profusely.

Dev received standing ovation the moment his performance finished and when his mother Neetu came on stage and began telling his struggle story since his birth, Shilpa started to get her eyes wet.

The boy famous in Aligarh for his dancing talent actually survived because of his dancing. Dev had a problem in his spine at the time of birth and Doctors had given up on him telling the family that he would only survive for 3-4 days maximum. Dev\'s mother says that her son showed courage and later joined dancing school and started walking on his own claiming dance saved his life.

The tearful mother Neetu Varshiney said, \"...isne wahan laake mujhe khada kiya jahaan mai kabhi kalpana bhi nahi kar sakti thi.. aise bachchon ko kabhi kum na aanka jaaye.. mere jaisi kitni maayen hain wo sochti hain hamara bachchan aisa hai waisa hai.. mai to isko normally treat karti hun...\"

Listening to the mother tell Dev\'s story, Bollywood\'s actress Shilpa also started crying and even choked while talking on the show. Shilpa then revealed and told a shocking unknown fact about her own birth.

Shilpa trying to catch her breath went on saying, \"Meri Mummy hamesha kehti hain ki... (cries) jab kisi mei koi kami hoti hai na.. aur jab aap usey survive kar jaate hain then you are a born survivor.. jab mai apni mummy ke pet mei thi to doctor ne kaha mai survive nahi karungi kyonki 6 months tak meri mummy bleed kar rahi theen.. sorry.. it\'s a very personal thing. .. i really believe ki meri mummy ne .. meri mummy itni dridh thi ki unhone socha kii mai is bachche ko janam dungi aur unhone bola ki ye bachcha ...doctoron ne us waqt bola ki ye bachcha normal paida nahi ho sakta to mummy ne kaha nahi agar ye survive kar jayegi to ye bohot survivor hogi.. So i have lived my life like that aur ye bachcha ek born survivor hai aur ye bohot kuchh karke dikhayega\"

Translation: (When my Mom was pregnant with me, the Doctors had said I will not survive since my mother was bleeding continusouly for 6 months. They also said that the born child will not be born normal but Mother decided that she would go ahead with giving me birth because she believed if i survive this, i will be a \'born survivor\' . This child is also a \'born survivor\' and he will go way ahead in life.)

Other than featuring in some hit bollywood films including \'Baazigar\', Shilpa Shetty also got International fame by winning the UK Version of \'Celebrity Big Brother 5\' in 2007.
