New Delhi: Pankaj Tripathi, Sayani Gupta, and Neeraj Kabi are set to feature in the ambitious movie, which is being financed by Bhushan Kumar and Reliance Entertainment. The film is scheduled to have its premiere in theatres on June 24.

The film is based on the strange but true practise that occurred close to the Pilibhit Tiger Reserve. People there would leave their elderly family members for tigers to prey on, and then they would seek compensation from the reserve's administration.

The narrative of Gangaram (played by Pankaj Tripathi) can be seen in the trailer. Gangaram decides to participate in the famed tiger practise and has the intention of giving up his life in order for the families of his village to be eligible for the government compensation program that is intended to assist the relatives of those who have been killed by tigers. Sayani Gupta portrays his wife, who is desperately trying to keep him from leaving the house in her part as the character.

On May 31, well-known vocalist KK passed away. His most recent song has not yet been made public. In April, KK recorded a version of the song from Sherdil.

The movie is directed by National Film Awards-winning director Srijit Mukherji. After directing Begum Jaan, this movie will be the director's second feature film in Hindi. Currently, he is working on the Mithali Raj biopic ‘Shabaash Mithu’, which stars Taasee Pannu. Meanwhile, Pankaj Tripathi was last seen in the movie ‘Bachchhan Paandey’.
