New Delhi: Veteran Bollywood actress Sharmila Tagore, considered one of the finest talents in the film industry, turned a year older on Wednesday (December 8). On the occasion of her 77th birthday, Sharmila's granddaughter Sara Ali Khan shared a heartfelt post on social media. Sara called Tagore an ‘inspiration’ and thanked her for being a constant pillar of support.
What Did Sara Post?
The 'Simmba' actress dropped two photos with the birthday girl along with a sweet note. She fondly addressed Sharmila as 'Badi Amma' while sharing the post on Instagram. Sara wrote, "Happiest Birthday Badi Amma. I love you so much. Thank you for always being here for us and being a constant pillar of support. Inshallah I hope that I can always make you proud."
Sara and Sharmila can be seen flashing their million-dollar smiles while striking a pose for the camera. The 'Kedarnath' actress wrapped her arms around her grandmother's shoulders as they posed for a photo.
Bipasha Basu, Saba Ali Khan and other celebs dropped comments on the post. Saba, who is Saif Ali Khan's younger sister, wrote, "You make her very proud."
Fans have also flooded the comments section with their messages and wishes.
Sharmila's daughter Saba Ali Khan also posted a note for the 'Amar' actress on her Instagram handle. "Happy Birthday Ma! I may not be there today.. but I'm there in spirit. Missing you! Lots of love," her post read.
Talking about Sara, the 'Love Aaj Kal' actress is gearing up for the release of 'Atrangi Re'. The film co-starring Akshay Kumar and Dhanush will premiere directly on Disney+Hotstar on December 24, 2021. The trailer of Aanand L Rai's musical romantic drama has received a good response from the audience.
The buzz for the film is at an all-time high as Sara and Dhanush's sizzling chemistry has managed to strike a chord with the audience.
