Shilpa Shetty's sister-actress Shamita Shetty who's currently seen in 'Khatron Ke Khiladi 9' just encountered a road rage incident in Thane, Maharashtra and she was reportedly abused verbally too. The incident reportedly happened near Viviana Mall in Thane on Tuesday after a car allegedly rammed into her's. The driver at the wheels was also accompanied by two friends who picked up a fight with the actress and her driver Darshan Sawant when the latter stopped the car to inspect the damage caused with the impact.

The actress alleges she was verbally abused and her driver Darshan was roughed up in this incident.

Shilpa filed a complaint at the Rabodi police station and the case is registered against the three yet-to-be identified persons whose vehicle details have been provided by Shetty’s driver, Darshan Sawant. As per TOI report an officer said Shetty was in Thane for some personal work and the incident took place around 1.30pm. When Sawant stopped the car to inspect the damage, the three accused in other vehicle too alighted and reportedly picked up a fight. Sawant said that the trio slapped and threatened him. No one was injured in the incident, the police informed.

A case has been registered under sections 279, 323, 504, 506 , 427 and 34 of the Indian Penal code. An offence has been registered against the trio who are yet to be arrested, the police said adding that the car involved in the accident has been identified.
