New Delhi: 'Shaitaan', which is directed by Vikas Bahl, has joined the Rs 100 crore club in India. Even with the big-budget release of 'Yodha' in its second week, the Ajay Devgn-led psychological horror movie stood strong. On Sunday, the tenth day of the film's release, it has reportedly crossed the Rs 100 crore mark at the box office, according to the most recent report on Sacnilk.com.

According to the report, 'Shaitaan' earned almost Rs 9.75 crore on its second Sunday. After an impressive opening weekend, the movie raked in Rs 93.57 crore by day 9. As of right now, predicted total collection is Rs 103.05 crore.

The ABP Live review for ‘Shaitaan’ reads, “The film dives straight into the action, setting the stage for some impending chaos right from Madhavan's entry. Each scene with Madhavan terrorizing Ajay's family grips you, making it hard to look away. The first half is intense, keeping you on the edge of your seat. However, as Madhavan stays at their house, the film seems to lose its pace, especially in the second half and climax, which feels a bit rushed and underwhelming. Despite that, it still manages to keep you engaged till the end, making it a one-time watch.”

The main plot of the Ajay Devgn starrer thriller movie centres around a man with supernatural powers holding a family captive in their house. In the movie, R Madhavan portrays the antagonist, while Ajay and Jyothika play husband and wife.

The 2023 Gujarati film 'Vash', which is adapted to Hindi as 'Shaitaan', was written and directed by Krishnadev Yagnik. Ajay Devgn, Jyoti Deshpande, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Abhishek Pathak produced 'Shaitaan' under the banners of Jio Studios, Devgn Films, and Panorama Studios.
