Saneep towards the end of the interview did also say that he would not want his son, who he named 'Arjun Reddy' since the original Telugu superhit film was in making when his baby boy was born, is nothing like the character(played by Shahid in the hindi remake) in real life.
And now comes another person closely associated with the film and that is none other than the best friend of 'Kabir Singh' who stood by him throughout his years of pain and alcohol-drug addiction during separation from Preeti. 'Shiva' was portrayed beautifully by actor Soham Majumdar, a theatre artist from Kolkata who made debut in Bollywood with this movie and is on cloud nine as the film is a blockbuster and heading towards shattering the business of 'Uri' ahead.
The thrilled Soham in a recent interview with an entertainment portal, said- "The sheer love that the film is getting, I feel really blessed. This is technically my first Hindi film. Before this I did Bengali films. Technically speaking, this is my Bollywood debut. I feel just 'wow' what a start man! People chanting your character's name (Shiva Shiva Shiva), it is something to be really proud of!"

The jodi of Kabir and Shiva is being immensely loved by the fans and the actor also said during another interview with Mensxp - "People are sending me messages like 'you are Chandler to my Monica' and I know, I am nowhere close to it, but it just feels good when you to wake up to messages like these. Some even said that Kabir and Shiva are like contemporary Jai and Veeru. It's good to see how people are showering love."
The memes have already been going around with the pictures/screenshots of Kabir-Shiva carrying friendship messages.
Talking to BollywoodLife, Soham also reacted to the strong criticism the film is facing. "Criticism is necessary as with that performers become more responsible. Everybody has a certain point of view and we must respect that. I wasn't bogged down, in fact, I was enlightened with all the criticism that came my way. And rightfully so, if a person is really feeling like that, we must respect that. Maybe who knows if I was in an unbiased situation and not a part of the film, I don't know how I would have reacted. Now that I am part of this film, my approach or response will be biased, to be honest," said Soham mentioning that he respects everyone's point of view 110%.

And what now will leave you surprised is to know is that Soham, who's character Shiva at one point in the film even offers Kabir to marry his sister wanting to end his pain, would not want that to happen in real life.
Would Soham ever let his sister/cousin marry a guy like Kabir in real life, the actor quipped, "'My Sister, no yaar! Very possessive about my sisters. Like I have cousins but they are equally close and dear to me. I don't think I will ever do that. I am really possessive as a person."
