Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput welcomed a baby boy on September 5, whom they named as Zain Kapoor. The ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ actor has kept aside all his professional commitments to take care of his new born son and daughter Misha Kapoor. Misha is not keeping well since few days and being the doting dad he is, Shahid is taking proper care of her. The ‘Padmaavat’ actor had to miss the promotions of the Shree Narayan Singh directorial, which also stars Shraddha Kapoor and Yami Gautam.

Shahid took to Twitter to explain his absence at the promotional event and said that being a parent is above everything else.

A report in a leading daily also suggested that ‘Haider’ actor stayed up 32-35 hours straight to take care of Misha who has high fever.

After bringing their son Zain home, Mira Rajput posts an EMOTIONAL message for her well-wishers

"The last few days have been tough. Misha running very high fever and Zain just came home. Have had to miss some promotions. Just nine days to go for "Batti Gul meter chalu" to release but being a parent is above all else. Hope to resume promotions very soon," Kapoor wrote on the micro-blogging site.

Shahid Kapoor’s mother Neelima Azim had earlier expressed her happiness on Zain’s arrival. The veteran actress has said that she is happy her elder son’s family is complete now. She even said that Zain is good looking and will turn out to be as handsome as Shahid and Ishaan.

‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ is slated to hit the silver screens on September 21 and Shahid will soon start the next leg of promotions. Sasha will also start shooting for the Hindi remake of 'Arjun Reddy' from next month.
