New Delhi: Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has given many memorable films in her acting career and is still playing meaty roles in his projects. Amitabh Bachchan's cult-classics like 'Don', 'Agneepath' & 'Zanjeer' have already got remakes in Bollywood whereas latest buzz suggests that another memorable film of the 'Thugs of Hindostan' actor will be remade soon. Big B's 'Shahenshah', which got released in 1988, is one of the most loved films of the actor and is getting a modern remake.


Yes, you read that right!

According to latest reports, actor-director Tinnu Anand, who helmed Big B's 'Shahenshah' is working on the film's remake.

Confirming the same, Tinnu Anand informed SpotboyE that, "Yes, I will remake Shahenshah. But let this Coronavirus attack end first. It's on our heads and hence I cannot tell when I shall start and release the remake."

Whereas, there's also a buzz that Ranveer Singh might step into Amitabh Bachchan's shoes for 'Shahenshah' remake.

Revealing the same, the report further states that, "Now, whispers in Bollywood are getting loud that Tinnu Anand wants Ranveer Singh to play the title role. Expect a long meeting between the two parties once the lockdown is lifted."

However, both Tinnu Anand & Ranveer Singh are yet to react on the same.

On a related note, 'Shahenshah' also featured Meenakshi Seshadri, Kader Khan & Pran in pivotal roles.  The film became the second highest grossing film of 1988. Amitabh Bachchan's popular dialogue from the film - "Rishtey mein toh hum tumhare baap lagte hai...naam hai Shahenshah" is still etched in our memory.
