New Delhi: Shah Rukh Khan reportedly proposed that he "fly" Nayanthara to Mumbai for her Bollywood debut in an old video that is currently going viral. Nayanthara played the lead alongside him in SRK's most recent film, 'Jawan'.

The video that is making waves on the internet is from a South award event from a couple of years ago. Nayanthara makes a revelation while interacting with the audience on stage. When Shah Rukh, who is attending the event as a special guest, finds that she is a fan, he signals that he will fly Nayanthara to Mumbai. He implies that she could make her debut in Bollywood by acting opposite him. Even 'Jawan' director Atlee, who is seated in the crowd, is seen laughing.

In Rohit Shetty's 2013 romantic comedy 'Chennai Express', Nayanthara was also given a chance to perform the dance song '1 2 3 4 Get On The Dance Floor' with Shah Rukh Khan. She declined, though, and Priyamani, another cast member from Jawan, eventually pulled it off.

In 'Jawan', Nayanthara plays Inspector Narmada, the highest-ranking investigating officer chasing Vikram Rathore, an escaped convict decent guy (Shah Rukh Khan). She meets Azad (the person behind Vikram Rathore) through an arranged marriage plan and agrees to tie the knot to him.

The Atlee-directed action flick surpassed even Shah Rukh Khan's own 'Pathaan' in terms of opening day earnings for a Hindi film in Indian box office history. The SRK-starring movie reportedly earned a remarkable Rs 75 crore in India and around Rs 129 crore worldwide.

Vijay Sethupathi, Sunil Grover, Ridhi Dogra, Sanya Malhotra, and Sanjay Dutt are also featured in Jawan. Red Chillies Entertainment, which is owned by Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan, produced it. 'Jawan' released worldwide on September 7.
