Drop everything! As this news will certainly bring the biggest smile on the faces of die hard Salman and Shah Rukh Khan fans. From the last few days there was a buzz that Salman Khan will star in Sanjay Leela Bhansani's next. Not long ago, it was confirmed that the ace filmmaker has reunited with his Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam actor Salman Khan for his next.

But now there's an interesting update to this as, if a latest report in Bollywood Hungama is anything to go with, then Sanjay Leela Bhansali has registered three titles for Meena Kumari's 1952 cult classic Baiju Bawra. And the filmmaker is planning to rope in SRK with Salman.

Yes, you read it right, the 'Padmaavat' director SLB is planning to get Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan together for a remake of Baiju Bawra and though this news is not confirmed, he has already registered 3 titles for the film and they are Baijnath, Baiju, and Baiju Tansen.

VIDEO: Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan revive ‘Karan Arjun’ memories!

Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali is known for his ensemble star cast and besides, Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, the ace filmmaker seems to have zeroed in on his leading lady for the film. According to reports 'Raazi' actress Alia Bhatt has been approached to play the leading lady of the film and if everything falls in proper place, she will be the heroine in the movie.

Earlier there were reports that Bhansali was interested to take Priyanka Chopra on board but, it was apparently Salman who expressed displeasure working with her, due to their Bharat fall out.

And now looks like Priyanka's loss is Alia's gain and she is all set to land a role opposite country's biggest superstars!

Salman and Shah Rukh have previously been shared screen space on silver screen in the 2002 movie Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998) and Karan Arjun (1995). Salman also did a cameo in SRK's last release 'Zero'.

Baiju Bawra, was directed by Vijay Bhatt and it won Meena Kumari the first-ever Best actress Filmfare award in 1954.
