New Delhi: Aryan Khan, son of Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan, made his highly anticipated Bollywood debut announcement on Tuesday. Instead of showcasing his acting skills like his sister Suhana Khan, who is making her film debut with 'The Archies', he will exhibit the flair of his pen.

For his maiden Bollywood film, Aryan stated he will be donning the writer's hat. He shared a sneak peek of the first screenplay for a movie produced by Shah Rukh and Gauri's Red Chillies Entertainment. However, he made no mention of the movie's genre or even any other potential cast members.

Aryan Khan uploaded a photo of the script to Instagram and wrote,"Wrapped with the writing…can’t wait to say action."

Meanwhile, Gauri Khan reacted to the announcement post and wrote, along with several awed emojis,"Can't wait to watch." Shah Rukh Khan also shared a sweet and encouraging message in support of his son's new endeavour. "Wow….thinking…believing….dreaming done, now onto dare….wish u the best for the first one. It’s always special…." he wrote.

While Sikander Kher posted a star emoji, Shanaya Kapoor, daughter of Sanjay Kapoor, responded "Wooooo!!! ".

It was previously believed that Aryan Khan was writing script for his first web series. The claims, though, were not backed by any solid information.

Aryan made headlines last year after a Narcotics Control Bureau team allegedly busted a drug party on a ship travelling to Goa. Along with the other suspects in the case, Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha, Aryan was detained. Later, Shah Rukh Khan's son was released and given the all-clear.
