New Delhi: Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan is all set to entertain the audience with his new film titled 'Bob Biswas'. The crime thriller, which serves a spin-off to Vidya Balan starrer 'Kahaani', will premiere on a leading OTT platform. Abhishek took to social media to share a small clip and announce that the trailer of 'Bob Biswas' will be released on Friday (November 19).

The 'Bunty Aur Babli' star posted the video along with the caption, "Ek minute. Watch #BobBiswas trailer tomorrow at 12 PM." Movie buffs won't have to wait long as the trailer will be unveiled at 12PM.

Abhishek's niece Navya Nanda Naveli dropped a comment on the post. She wrote, "Wooo." Fans have also flooded the comments section with their messages.

‘Bob Biswas’ is the spin-off to the popular character of the same name in Sujoy Ghosh’s ‘Kahaani’. The much-awaited flick has been directed by Diya Annapurna Ghosh, who is the daughter of Sujoy Ghosh.

The film went on floors in January 2020 in Kolkata. The cast and crew wrapped up the shoot on December 10, 2020. The movie co-starring Chitrangada Singh has been produced by Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment and Ghosh's Bound Script Production.

'Bob Biswas', which is set against the backdrop of a love story, will showcase the dual life led by a contract killer. It will premiere on ZEE5 on December 3, 2021.

"This is a new ‘Bob Biswas’, he is like any of us. In life we all have various roles to play, whether as a parent, spouse or a friend and in each role we are equally responsible and accountable. This is the world of Bob, where he is trying to cope with each role as his life unfolds before him. Creating this world and Bob was super exciting and having Abhishek onboard has made the film even cooler. I genuinely hope that the audience enjoys what they see," Sujoy said in a statement.

'Bob Biswas' To Be Abhishek's Third OTT Project

Junior Bachchan's last film 'The Big Bull' premiered directly on Disney+Hotstar in April 2021. The financial crime thriller co-starring Ileana D'Cruz and Nikita Dutta received mixed reviews from the critics and audience upon it release on the streaming giant.

Abhishek made his digital debut with 'Breathe: Into the Shadows', which beamed on Amazon Prime Video. The web series also starred Nithya Menon and Amit Sadh.
