New Delhi: Sean Connery passed away at the age of 90 on October 31, 2020. He was the first actor to bring to screen the famous character of ‘James Bond’. Sean featured in 7 James Bond films including 'Dr. No',  'From Russia With Love', 'Goldfinger', 'Thunderball', 'You Only Live Twice' and 'Diamonds Are Forever'. The veteran actor was awarded the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance a tough Chicago police officer in The 'Untouchables' in 1988. He was also the recipient of two BAFTA Awards and three Golden Globes Awards.

Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan mourned the loss of the talented actor. The ‘Brahmastra’ actor took to his Instagram and shared a picture of Sean Connery in his ‘James Bond’ avatar. Sharing the picture, the ‘Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna’ actor wrote, “What is the date today ..31 . 10 . 20 .. add up  .. 3 +1 is 4 .. then 1 = 5 .. then 0 .. then 2, so 4+1+2 = 7 .. then 0 ..so .. 3+1+1+2 = 7 .. and 2 zeros before you get there ..So .. 007 .. !! Sean Connery passes away .. he gave life to 007 !!”



Priyanka Chopra also took to her social media and thanked Sean Connery for all the movies. She wrote, “One of the most prolific actors of all time…suave and debonair, with that powerful voice. Rest In Peace Sir Sean Connery. Thank you for the movies.”



Veteran Bollywood actor Naseeruddin Shah worked with Sean Connery in 'The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen', which released in 2003. The superhero film which was helmed by Stephen Norrington also marked Connery’s final live-action acting role before his retirement in 2006.

On the professional front, Amitabh Bachchan will be next seen starring in ‘Brahmastra’ alongside Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor. Big B has also joined Prabhas and Deepika Padukone for their upcoming untitled movie with Nag Ashwin.
