The film will also show the 1971 war and his differences in views with then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi (played by Fatima). In a scene in the teaser, Indira Gandhi tells him that it is the duty of a soldier to sacrifice his life for his country, he replies, “Soldiers ki duty hai desh ki raksha ke liye dushman ki jaan lena (It is the duty of a soldier to kill enemies for the safety of the country).”

Sam Manekshaw, an Indian war hero, was the Chief of the Army Staff of the Indian Army during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. He became the first Indian Army officer to be promoted to the rank of Field Marshal. He began his career with service in World War II and had an active military career spanning four decades and five wars.
