New Delhi: Reports indicate that Salman Khan's 2014 hit film 'Kick' is being planned for a sequel. The much-awaited sequel is set to be produced in 2025, according to latest sources, with director Sajid Nadiadwala on board. Fans are now awaiting an official confirmation.

Sajid Nadiadwala is making plans to shoot in 2025, according to Mid-Day. He is also supervising many projects under his brand, so he will have to sort out the deadlines, according to a Mid-Day article. The news site quoted, “He will have to figure out the timelines because he is also overseeing several productions under his banner. He wants to ensure smooth functioning of the productions in order to dedicate his entire time to direct Kick 2”.

The insider said that the actor-filmmaker duo, who have a strong connection, are "excited" to work together on ‘Kick 2’.

Sajid Nadiadwala has also earlier announced that production is underway on a sequel. He told Pinkvilla, “I launched myself as a director with Kick and that’s my favorite IP. The moment I speak about Kick, I get messages from the industry and even the digital world is flooded with questions on when Kick 2 will go on floors. Now, I promise that there will be an extension to Kick. The subject is there on paper, it’s completely written but needs time. We need a bigger scale and a better time for its release. We need to have cinema consumption back in fashion for us to make Kick. Once we are back to normal, I will be ready to take Kick 2 on floors.”

The film is produced by Nadiadwala Grandson, which is owned by Sajid, and it features Rashmika Mandanna and Sathyaraj, among others. It will be released on next year's Eid.
